Energy saving screen installations

Energy saving screens are among the brightest screens on the market, where the main purpose is energy saving. Energy screens allow energy to be saved both at night and during the day, with a minimum light loss during the day. As companies look to reduce energy costs and help reduce their carbon footprint, 2nd energy saving screen installations are increasingly being chosen.

Black out screen installations

Black out screens are designed for crops that thrive on long periods of darkness. In summer when the days are long, production of those crops would not be feasible. A blackout screen provides the solution for this. Because a blackout screen consists of at least 2 layers of cloth, these screens also provide high energy savings.

Shading screen installations

The main use of a shading screen installations is to block a percentage of sunlight. Each crop has different light requirements. With a horizontal screen installation, the choices are endless.

With a single screen installation, the grower must look at the needs of the crop and what is the best solution over the entire year. Concessions often have to be made. How much screening does the crop need in the summer and how much energy can I save in the winter? An open weave screen cloth can provide a perfect climate in the greenhouse in the summertime where burning of plants can be avoided, but in winter the energy saving is low compared to energy saving shade cloths.

A double screen installation allows the grower for more precise control of the climate inside the greenhouse. With a dark screen cloth and a diffuse energysaving cloth the control of the climate can be more efficient. For example, on cloudy days only the diffuse screen cloth can be used, and on sunny days the dark screen cloth can bring more shade in stages. The diffuse screen cloth creates evenly dispersed light, allowing the crop to grow optimally.

Light reduction screen installations

Companies that grow their crops with artificial light often have to comply with light emission regulations. To reduce light emissions, an light reduction screen cloth can be used. The light reduction cloth is a single screen cloth and meets a light reduction of 99%. It can also be used to save energy in the dark hours. In combination with a diffuse energy saving screen cloth, the amount of sunlight can be set gradually.
